Green Tea To Reduce Puffy Eyes - October 1st, 2009

Green tea has long been an extremely popular antioxidant, and for good reason.  It has extreme levels of antioxidants as well as caffeine, which obviously burns more fat as well as waking up the skin in terms of its uses for puffy eyes and even dark circles.  But using green tea to reduce puffy eyes is an extremely good eye.  All you have to do is basically apply those warm or hot tea bags or even cold tea bags to your eyes in the morning, and wallah, you have a completely natural remedy that actually works!

This is also part of why I definitely recommend wrinkle creams that also have green tea, they can work this way for the rest of your face.  But basically speaking, when you have antioxidants and otherwise, they reduce inflammation while killing off free radicals.   Caffeine has been used in scrubs to eliminate cellulite as well as giving the skin a new glow, because it works.  When used on the inside, it actually makes your skin worse.  But when used externally, caffeine works only positively for your skin rather than against it.

When you combine these two elements, you actually get obviously double the effect.  Using green tea to reduce puffy eyes is one of its basic benefits, and frankly when I’m already drinking green tea in the mornings anyway, it’s that easy to just put the bags on my eyes when I’m done for a few minutes.  It’s also great relaxation time since they won’t stay on if you’re standing up exactly.  But all this being said, even if you don’t have puffy eyes, green tea bags on the eyes is still a good idea.
